Steaming HOT Mumbai.

Just jotting down a few things that I remember about my recent visit to Mumbai.

. . .

Ever notice that in a centrally cooled office, it’s always a bit warmer in areas where there are more people sitting? India is already a warm country. And there are 20 million Indians who live at Mumbai. No wonder, I found Mumbai to be very hot and humid. Especially on the street. Could practically have filled a couple of buckets with the amount of water escaping my skin!

. . .

Numbers - Prices Quoted by Vendors:

Item Price - Min Price - Max
DVD Rs. 60 Rs. 200
White and brown checked shirt Rs. 20 Rs. 800
Plate of fried rice Rs. 16 Rs. 120
Taxi to / from the Airport Rs. 220 Rs. 750

.

Humans Encountered:

Sl Type nbr pct

2 Vendors 36 31.6
3 ‘Street Residents’ 11 9.6
4 Financially chalenged individuals reqesting assistance

.
.
If you want to know how I got the above numbers, I walked down from hotel to office on day 3 with a pencil making “||||/” marks on a piece of paper.

. . .

It was an enjoyable trip, and “a learning experiance”, as people tend to say :) .
