I've seen quill pad some time ago. And I agree that it's pretty good. But it's *closed source* and hence of limited utility to someone trying to figure out how transliteration works.


This utility is a simple pure-javascript version for learning and hence source is available for anyone who knows how to get it.


For practical transliteration, there is another utility which i prefer at: http://www.writeka.com/. It is under active development, and IMO is getting quite a bit better than quillpad :D .

 nice one too!!!  but there are similar transilitreation tools already available over net freely. i came across this one recently trough my cousin, it just converts the same thing as yiu suggested , type i english but see the output in tamil ,
